A Season of Renewal

Scripture:
"For now the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come..."— Song of Solomon 2:11–12a (NRSV)
Reflection:
Spring arrives like a promise kept. The long shadows of winter retreat, and creation awakens. Buds break open, birds find their voice again, and the earth seems to rejoice. It’s a season that reminds us tangibly of God’s renewing power.
After periods of cold or spiritual dryness, Spring whispers that God is not finished. Even when we feel dormant—cut back by hardship, grief, or waiting—His Spirit is at work, preparing something new. He is the God who restores, who brings life from death and beauty from what once seemed barren.
Just as the earth does not rush Spring but receives it with open arms, so we too are called to open our lives to God’s renewing grace. What in your life needs to be made new? What is God planting in the soil of your heart right now?
The arrival of Spring is not just a change in weather—it is a sacred rhythm of resurrection and hope, pointing to the greater renewal we have in Christ.
Prayer:
Creator God, thank You for the renewal You bring through every season—especially in Spring, when we are reminded of Your power to restore. Help me to notice Your work around and within me. Where there is weariness, plant peace. Where there is loss, sow hope. And where there is waiting, teach me to trust You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today’s Invitation
:Go outside, even briefly. Look for one sign of new life—a flower, a green shoot, birdsong—and let it be a reminder that God is always renewing, always faithful, and always near.
