Scripture:
"He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay."— Matthew 28:6 (NRSV)
Reflection:
Yesterday, we celebrated the most powerful event in history — Jesus Christ rising from the dead. Churches were filled with joy, songs of victory echoed, and we proclaimed boldly, “He is risen!”
But today is Monday. The lilies are starting to wilt. The egg hunts are over. The world resumes its rhythm. The question now becomes: What does Easter mean for Monday?
The resurrection wasn’t just a one-day celebration. It was the dawning of a new reality — death defeated, hope alive, and power made available to us through Christ. The empty tomb changes everything. Not just for yesterday, but for today and every day to come.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in you (Romans 8:11). That means your struggles, doubts, fears, and even your Mondays are not the end of your story. Jesus didn’t just rise for you — He lives in you. That transforms how we face our jobs, our families, our stress, and our brokenness.
Easter isn’t over. It’s just beginning.
Prayer:
Risen Jesus, thank You for the cross, and thank You for the empty tomb. Help me to carry the joy and power of Easter into this new week. Let me live with resurrection hope — bold, unshakable, and full of love. Remind me daily that You are alive, and that changes everything. Amen.
Challenge for Today:
Carry Easter forward. Find one way to share resurrection hope with someone today — whether through kindness, encouragement, or simply reminding someone: "He is still risen."
