Scripture Reading:

Mark 10:45 (NRSV) – “For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.”

Reflection:

In a world that often pushes us to seek recognition or status, Jesus turns everything upside down. He, the King of Kings, came not demanding honor but stooping low to serve.

Serving isn’t just an action—it’s a reflection of the heart of Christ. When we serve others, especially when it’s inconvenient or unnoticed, we become more like Him. Whether it’s offering a kind word, meeting a need, or simply showing up, every act of service carries eternal weight.

True service isn’t about getting credit—it’s about giving love. It's not always glamorous, but it’s always holy.

So today, remember: when you serve others, you’re walking in the footsteps of Jesus.

Prayer:

Jesus, You showed me what it means to serve. Teach me to love with my hands, my time, and my heart. Help me to notice the needs around me and respond with compassion and humility. Let my life reflect Your servant’s heart today. Amen.

Action Step for Today:

Look for a simple, unexpected way to serve someone today—hold the door, send an encouraging message, help carry something, or ask someone how they’re really doing. Let love lead the way.
