Order of Worship 4-13-2025 Palm Sunday

Prelude

*Processional: All Glory, Laud, and Honor # 280

[Refrain]

All glory, laud, and honor, to thee, Redeemer, King, to whom the lips of children, made sweet hosannas ring.

1. Thou art the King of Israel, thou David’s royal Son, who in the Lord’s name comest, the King and Blessed One.

[Refrain]

2. The company of angels are praising thee on high, and we with all creation in chorus make reply.

[Refrain]

3. The people of the Hebrews with psalms before three went; our prayer and praises and anthems before thee we present.

[Refrain]

4. To thee, before thy passion, they sang their hymns of praise; to thee, now high exalted, our melody we raise.

[Refrain]

5. Thou didst accept their praises; accept the prayers we bring, who in all good delightest, thou good and gracious King.

Welcome and Announcements & Celebrations

*Call to Praise: Unison

Almighty God, you sent your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, to suffer death on the cross. Grant that we may share in his obedience to your will and in the glorious victory of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. Amen.

Praise In Song: He Has Made Glad # 2270

I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter his courts with praise. I will say, “This is the day that the Lord has made.” I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.

[Refrain]

He has made me glad, he has made me glad. I will rejoice, for he has made me glad. He has made me glad, he has made me glad. I will rejoice, for he has made me glad.

Hymn of Prayer: All Hail King Jesus # 2069

All hail King Jesus! All hail Emmanuel, King of kings, Lord of lords, bright Morning Star. And throughout eternity, I’ll sing your praises; and I’ll reign with you throughout eternity.

Lifting Up Our Prayers

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

Offering Our Gifts

*Doxology # 94

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;

Praise God, all creatures here below: Alleluia! Alleluia!

Praise God, the source of all our gifts!

Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts!

Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Gospel Lesson: Luke 19:28-40

The Message: The Lord Needs You

*Hymn of Going Forth: Tell Me the Stories of Jesus # 277

1. Tell me the stories of Jesus I love to hear; things I would ask him to tell me if he were here; scenes by the wayside, tales of the sea, stories of Jesus, tell them to me.

2. First let me hear how the children stood round his knee, and I shall fancy his blessing resting on me; words full of kindness, deeds fill of grace, all in the love light of Jesus’ face.

3. Into the city I’d follow the children’s band, waving a branch of the palm tree high in my hand; one of his heralds, yes, I would sing loudest hosannas; “Jesus is King!”

*Benediction
