Scripture Reading:
Hebrews 6:19 (NRSV) – “We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters the inner shrine behind the curtain.”
Reflection:
Hope is more than just a feeling—it’s a powerful anchor, grounding us when life feels uncertain or heavy.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us that the hope we have in Christ is sure and steadfast. It’s not shaken by storms or circumstances. It reaches beyond what we can see, connecting us to God’s very presence—the inner sanctuary where He dwells.
This hope enters the holy place, reminding us that through Jesus, we are never cut off from God's love, power, or purpose. Even in waiting, in silence, or in pain, hope holds us. It lifts our eyes beyond the present moment toward the promise of what is to come.
So, when the winds of life blow hard, remember: you're anchored—not in your strength, but in His.
Prayer:
God of all hope, thank You for being my anchor. When life feels unstable, root me in Your presence and Your promises. Strengthen my faith and quiet my fears. Teach me to trust not in what I see, but in who You are. Let my life reflect Your light and hope to those around me. Amen.
Action Step for Today:
Reflect on an area of your life where you need hope. Write it down. Then, beneath it, write this: “My hope is anchored in Christ.” Let that truth be your steadying reminder today.
