Scripture:

“He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”

— Matthew 28:6 (NRSV)

Reflection:

The stone has been rolled away. The grave is empty. Christ is risen!

Easter morning breaks through the shadows of sorrow and doubt with a bold, glorious declaration: He is risen! This isn’t just good news—it’s the best news. The resurrection of Jesus is the assurance that love is stronger than death, that light overcomes darkness, and that God keeps His promises.

Jesus’ victory over the grave changes everything. Because He lives, we have hope. Because He rose, we can rise too—out of sin, despair, and fear—into joy, purpose, and eternal life. Easter is the invitation to step into that new life and carry resurrection hope into the world.

Prayer:

Risen Lord,

Thank You for the empty tomb and the fullness of life You offer. On this Easter morning, renew my heart with the joy of Your resurrection. Help me to live in the power of Your risen life, and to share the hope and love You have given me with others.

Alleluia—You are alive, and I will praise You forever!

Amen.
