Scripture:
“ So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9 (NRSV)
Reflection:
Tiredness comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s physical exhaustion from long days of work. Other times it’s emotional fatigue from carrying burdens, fighting battles no one else sees, or holding on when you’d rather let go. If you’ve ever whispered, “I’m just so tired,” you’re not alone.
Even Jesus, fully God and fully human, grew tired. In John 4:6, He sat by a well, weary from His journey. Yet even in that place of weariness, He ministered to a Samaritan woman and changed her life. His fatigue didn’t disqualify Him from His purpose—it became part of the moment God used.
Fatigue doesn't mean failure. It means you're human. But in our weariness, God offers a sustaining strength that isn’t our own. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” When your strength runs low, His never does.
The Apostle Paul encourages us in Galatians 6:9 not to give up. Why? Because a harvest is coming. You may not see the fruit today, but that doesn’t mean it’s not growing. Sometimes, faithfulness looks like showing up tired, praying weakly, loving imperfectly—but continuing anyway.
Prayer:
Lord, I’m tired. Sometimes I feel like I have nothing left to give. But You see me, and You promise strength for the weary. Help me not to give up. Remind me that You are working even when I don’t feel it. Fill me with Your Spirit so I can keep doing good, even when it’s hard. I trust You with the outcome—I just want to be faithful in the journey. Amen.
Challenge for Today:
What’s one thing God is asking you to keep doing, even though you’re tired? Take a small step today, not in your own strength, but in His.
