Scripture:
"This is the day that the Lord has made;let us rejoice and be glad in it."— Psalm 118:24 (NRSV)
Reflection:
Spring often brings a sense of freedom—longer days, warm sun, blooming
gardens, laughter, and time with loved ones. There's something about the rhythm of spring that invites us to slow down and delight in the beauty around us.
Psalm 118:24 is a simple but powerful reminder: Every day—sunny or stormy, busy or slow—is a gift from God. And in that gift, we are called not just to survive it, but to rejoice in it.
Joy doesn’t have to come from grand adventures or perfect conditions. It often blooms in the small moments: a shared meal on the porch, the sound of children playing, the scent of flowers in the air. These are invitations from God to notice, to be present, and to delight in His goodness.
Even if this season carries challenges, there is still joy to be found in the assurance that God is near and each day is woven with His presence and purpose.
Prayer:
Lord of creation, thank You for the beauty of this season. Open my eyes to see Your joy in the everyday moments and help me embrace each day with gratitude and gladness. May I carry Your joy into the lives of others. Amen.
Daily Practice:
Spend a few moments outside today—without distractions. Whether you sit in the sun, take a short walk, or just open a window, take time to thank God for five small joys you notice in that moment.
