Scripture Reading:
Psalm 16:11 (NRSV) – “You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Reflection:
Happiness can feel fleeting—based on good days, good news, or good moods. But the joy God offers runs deeper. It’s not dependent on everything going right; it flows from His presence, not our circumstances.
Psalm 16 reminds us that true happiness is found in God Himself. When we walk with Him—when we pause to listen, to worship, to be still—we discover a kind of joy that fills us up and doesn’t run dry.
In God’s presence, there is fullness of joy. That means there's more than enough. No matter how you’re feeling today, you are invited to draw close and let Him fill you—not just with a fleeting moment of happiness, but with a deep, lasting joy.
Prayer:
God of joy, thank You that I don’t have to chase happiness—I can find it in You. When life feels heavy or uncertain, remind me that You are near, and that Your joy is always available to me. Help me to walk in Your presence today and share Your happiness with others. Amen.
Action Step for Today:
Do something that brings your soul delight—take a walk in the sunshine, play your favorite song, or laugh with a friend. As you do, whisper a thank-you to God, the giver of every good and joyful thing.
