Today’s Reflection
I take the idea of baptism pretty seriously. I don’t fully understand it, but that itself seems to make sense to me, that it would be a little difficult to wrap my mind around a sacrament, a means by which somehow God continually reveals God’s self to humanity.
—Enuma Okoro, Reluctant Pilgrim: A Moody, Somewhat Self-Indulgent Introvert’s Search for Spiritual Community (Fresh Air Books, 2010)
Today’s Question
How does baptism prompt you to participate in God’s unfolding drama?
Today’s Scripture
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.—Galatians 2:20 (CEB)
Prayer for the Week
Lord,Forgive me when I am reluctant to engage as you call me to do. Surround me with a faith community that encourages and challenges me to participate in God’s unfolding drama.
